mr-spockHey everyone, I just wanted to wish you all a very Happy New Year, and to say that as I personally reflect on 2015, one of the things that comes to mind is the passing away of Leonard Nimoy, and for all of us “treckies” out there how can you not be inspired by the words ‘to boldly go where no man has gone before’ and ‘live long and prosper’?

Another year comes and another year go’s, and my take away for this year was given to me when I attended an 80th birthday party for a dear old saint who insisted that her life was just beginning! Blessings to you Vera! As you stood before the crowd that gathered on New Year’s Day, yes a new year’s day baby, the one thing that jumped out to me from what you said was this; ‘that we need to remember that we’re all a family’! That is the truth, and as we gather together with each other every day, or as we cross paths, and so on, let’s just remember that we’re all in this together! Our planet is dying, and we need to do something about that: All the earth is holy ground! We share this planet with not just each other, but with many other creatures too! And …. there is more than enough wealth in this world today to feed everyone, so no one needs to go hungry!

The scriptures tell us to love one another as ourselves. See Mark 12:30-31. S0 … how about we just do that!

In closing, all I would add to Spock’s words; ‘live long and prosper’ is this: “share what you have with others.” Let’s make 2016 a year to remember!
